National Blackout Drill this weekend

National Blackout Drill this weekend. Simulating a Mass Coronal Ejection event hitting the US causing widespread power outages.
During the exercise, a designated DOD Headquarters entity will request county-by-county status reports for the 3,143 US counties
and county equivalents, in order to gain situational awareness and to determine the extent of impact of the scenario. Army and Air
Force MARS organizations will work in conjunction with the Amateur Radio community, primarily on the 60-meter interoperability channels as well as on HF NVIS frequencies and local VHF and UHF, non-Internet linked Amateur Radio repeaters. MARS is to serve as the liaison for DOD to reach out to the amateur radio community. If you have an amateur radio license, you are our target audience. A recommendation to monitor the 60 meter interop channels (all USB):

5330.5 (this is where the broadcast will take place Sunday morning 0300Z which is actually 2300 eastern Sat night)

Also Sunday at 1600Z will be a second broadcast on 13483.5 USB.

Follow the instructions on the broadcast and submit a reception report for a QSL card
